Welcome to the IN-HOUSE Tournament | Friendly Series | Spring 2026, a seasonal Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament created to give athletes a positive, well-organized competition experience while giving back to the community.
Proceeds from this event support our nonprofit programs focused on character development, youth access, and community growth through jiu-jitsu.

🏅 CUSTOM TOURNAMENT MEDALS
For the Friendly Series, we’ve upgraded to custom, professional-level medals, inspired by larger tournaments.
Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, recognizing the commitment, effort, and courage it takes to step on the mat.

🎯 EVENT PURPOSE
The Friendly Series is a seasonal tournament series designed to:
Provide a safe and welcoming competition environment
Help kids, teens, and adults gain tournament experience
Build confidence, composure, and resilience
Strengthen community across our academies and invited friends
Keep competition respectful, development-focused, and accessible
This is a Gi-only tournament.
👦👧🧑 AGE DIVISIONS
Age divisions are determined by year of birth.
Athletes compete in the age they turn during the 2026 calendar year.
Kids & Teens
Pee Wee II: 6–7
Kids I: 8–9
Kids II: 10–11
Kids III: 12–13
Teen I: 14–15
Juvenile
Juvenile: 16–17
Adults & Masters
Adult: 18+
Master 1/2: 30+
Master 3+: 41+
⚠️ Boys and girls do not compete together.
⚠️ If a division has low registration, nearby divisions may be merged for safety and match quality.
🏅 BRACKET FORMAT
Double Elimination (minimum two matches guaranteed)
Some divisions may run Round Robin to provide additional mat time
⏱ MATCH TIMES
Pee Wee II (6–7): 2 minutes
Kids I (8–9): 3 minutes
Kids II & III (10–15): 4 minutes
Juveniles, Adults & Masters: 5 minutes
⚖️ RULESET
This event follows IBJJF standards with the following event-specific modifications:
No Advantages
Matches are decided by points, penalties, or referee decision only.Double Guard Pull Rule
In the event of a double guard pull, the first athlete to stand up and stabilize top position for 3 seconds will receive 2 points.Last Score Wins (Points Tie)
If a match ends tied on points, the athlete who scored last will be declared the winner.0–0 Score
If no points are scored, the referee will decide the winner based on activity, positional control, and engagement.
All techniques and submissions follow age-appropriate IBJJF safety guidelines.
⚖️ WEIGH-INS (PROPOSED – SUBJECT TO ADJUSTMENT)
All weigh-ins will take place on the day of the event.
The schedule below is proposed and may be adjusted based on final registration numbers and bracket structure. Final confirmation will be posted closer to the event date.
⚠️ Weigh-ins are without the Gi. Athletes must wear at minimum shorts and a T-shirt.

🕘 9:00 AM – 9:40 AM
⚠️ No weigh-ins after 9:45 AM (to allow time for bracket finalization)
Ages 8–9
🕥 10:30 AM – 11:00 AM
Ages 10–15
🕚 11:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Juvenile, Adult & Masters
🕧 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM
Athletes who weigh over their registered division may be moved to a nearby division if permitted by the bracket structure.

The following schedule is a projected competition flow to help families plan their day.
Times may shift earlier or later depending on mat flow and final brackets.

⚠️ Athletes should be ready at least 1 hour before their estimated competition block.
Final fight times and weigh-in confirmations will be posted closer to the event once brackets are finalized.
🥋 UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS
Clean, properly fitted Gi
Allowed colors: White, Blue, Black
Belt must match registered rank
Proper hygiene required (trimmed nails, no contagious skin conditions)
👨👩👧 SPECTATORS
Parents, family, and friends are welcome.
Spectators must remain behind barriers and avoid interfering with referees, staff, or matches.
